Water Circulation Pump Selection
Based on the user-provided circulating pump technical specifications (pumping liquid temperature ≥ 110°C, capacity ≥ 389 cubic meters/hour, head ≥ 55 meters, rated power ≤ 110 kW, maximum pressure 1.6 MPa) and industry selection criteria, a comprehensive matching process is required, including pump type selection, material matching, performance verification, and installation requirements. The following are key analyses and recommendations:
1. Pump Type Selection: Prioritize Matching High-Temperature Operating Conditions and Performance Requirements
Pump Type Compatibility:
For high-temperature liquid transportation, high-temperature centrifugal pumps (such as high-temperature hot water circulation pumps and boiler circulation pumps) are preferred. These pumps utilize heat-resistant materials (such as stainless steel, Hastelloy alloy, and fluoroplastic linings) to ensure structural stability and sealing reliability at high temperatures.
Referring to the "Boiler Circulation Pump Selection" process, for boiler systems, a redundant design of "at least two pumps (one spare)" is required. For industrial circulation systems, single or multiple pumps should be selected based on the system flow and head requirements. Performance Matching:
Flow: The pump must meet the system's design flow rate (≥389 cubic meters per hour), with a 10%-20% turndown margin to avoid underflow or overload.
Head: The pump must meet the system's total resistance (≥55 meters), including piping losses, local resistance (elbows, valves, heat exchangers, etc.), and pressure drop at the terminal equipment.
Power: The selected pump must have a rated power of ≤110 kW and operate within the high-efficiency range (typically 80%-120% of the rated flow rate).
II. Materials and Seals: Ensure Reliability in High-Temperature Operating Conditions
Material Selection:
Key components such as the pump body, impeller, and seal chamber must be made of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant materials, such as 316L stainless steel (chloride-resistant), Hastelloy (strong acid and alkali-resistant), and fluoroplastic lining (organic solvent-resistant).
Referring to the "Circulating Water Pump Selection Manual," the pump casing's pressure bearing capacity under high-temperature conditions must be ≥1.6 MPa (matching user specifications). Seal Design:
For high temperatures (≥110°C), bellows mechanical seals (rotating ring silicon carbide, stationary ring alumina ceramic) are preferred, along with a quenching device. For temperatures >240°C, a double seal + barrier fluid system is required.
