How to calculate the output of melt metering pump?
How to look at the size of the
melt metering pump and how to calculate the output of the metering pump?
The size of the melt dosing pump can be expressed in terms of displacement.
That is, the gear of the melt
metering pump. The volume discharged per revolution is generally expressed in cc.
There are various metering pump specifications such as 20cc, 31.5cc, 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, 200cc, and 250cc.

The melt metering pump rotates at 10~60r/min per minute. Due to the different viscosity of the conveyed material, the rotating speed can be adjusted.
The amount of material discharged by the melt metering pump can be multiplied by the density of the current material by the displacement multiplied
by the rotational speed of the melt metering pump per minute, which is the mass of the melt metering pump discharged per minute.
For example: select a 100cc melt metering pump, when the material viscosity is 1000-5000pa.s, the melt metering pump speed range is 10~60 revolutions per minute.
When the rotational speed of the 100CC melt pump is 10 rpm, the output per minute is 100CC (transfer displacement)*10r/min=1000cc/min=1000ml/min, and the output per hour is 100CC*10*60min=60000ml /H=60L/H.
When the rotational speed of the 100CC melt pump is 60 rpm, the output per minute is 100CC (transfer displacement)*60r/min=6000cc/min=6000ml/min, and the output per hour is 100CC*60*60min=360,000ml /H=360L/H.
