Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) revolves around the use of a urea solution that is injected into diesel engine exhaust gas to virtually eliminate all nox emissions. While a mixture of 32.5% high purity urea in deionized water has been set as the standard fluid, testing of the supply pumps and systems is accomplished with deionized water and a lubricating solution of as little as 15% glycol. Unlike testing with DEF, the low percentage glycol-deionized water solution leaves no residue or crystallization that could cause premature system failures and provides just enough lubrication to allow the flow meter to turn at very low flow rates with nearly zero back pressure.
INDUSTRY PREFERRED TECHNOLOGY
High resolution, bi-directional and quadrature signal outputs, and 1.6 millisecond response times make JSN Precision Flow Meters the choice in DEF pump testing and injection system testing. Since the flow meters are positive displacement, extremely low dosing rates and flow profiles are captured without loss of data. For the lowest flows and the most robust testing capability use:
CX- G0.015
K-Factor:0.015ml/p
Flow Rate:0.004-500 cc/min
CX-G0.1
K-Factor:0.1ml/p
Flow Rate:0.04-4L/min
HOW DO YOU BENEFIT
·Abrupt start/stop flow and reverse flows are all accurately counted.
·High resolution data registers exactly when the brakes were applied
·Robust sensor design allows for measurement during accelerated and harsh application testing
JSN Precision Flow Meters provide you with high resolution forward and reverse flow rate measurements that capture the data you rely on to understand (evaluate) the braking system dynamics and refine the next generation of braking components for the smallest passenger cars to the largest on and off highway trucks.
