Measuring grease flow
Hello, i have a request in which a customer want to have a grease flow confirmation. They ask to put something after a shot metering valve that have to confirm the grease passage. Is a qualitative information, they not need to know the amount passed. Depending on the station the amount will be between 50 and 300 mm3. I had the idea to mount the most economical gear flow meter you have, 30 or 40 mm3 / impulse will be perfect. Potential 50/100 pcs/year
Is a grease nlgi2 so imagine normal lubrication grease. Pressure will be not high consider that after the flow sensor will be open outlet, the metering valve will be before the sensor
For equipment point lubrication, it is only necessary to confirm the passage of grease, and no precise measurement is required

Our technical engineer recommended M5.2 and G0.015 to customers
G0.015 will be better, because the viscosity of the grease is very high, and the circular gear is easier to pass through without the gear being stuck.

2. Parameters
Regarding grease, we need to know what kind of equipment is lubricated, some are large-scale equipment, and some are parts.
Flow, temperature, pressure all need to be known (pressure is critical)

1. Why do large-scale equipment use flow meters to control grease?
Large-scale equipment is used for a long time and exposed to the air, it is easy to get stuck, causing the equipment not to operate normally, and the equipment may even be broken, so it is necessary to add grease to make the equipment run well and reduce maintenance costs.
When using a flow meter to remove grease, there will be a pulse signal when there is grease. The customer only needs to ensure that the pulse signal continues to appear stably, and there is no need to worry about the equipment being damaged due to lack of lubrication.
